94 Years of Boating Knowledge
The Deonas Family has been in the boat business in Nassau County, Florida since 1912. Jamie's great grandfather, Mike Tiliakos came to Fernandina Beach from Greece in 1912 and started his own boat building business. In 1941 Jamie's Grandfather, Jimmy Deonas arrived from Greece and began his boat building company. Quality and workmanship was simply expected and delivered with each hull built. In 1969 Jimmy passed away and his son, Nick Deonas continued the boat building business. Today Jamie and his father Nick, continue the same quality customer service that has become a trademark over the years.

BOATS AND THE DENOAS FAMILY JUST GO TOGETHER.. DEMETRIOS (JIMMY) DEONAS CAME TO AMERICA FROM GREECE IN 1941. JIMMY WAS A MASTER BOAT BUILDER AND MARITIME ARCHITECT. HE BEGAN BUILDING LARGE COMMERCIAL TRAWLERS ON AMELIA ISLAND AND WAS VERY WELL KNOWN UP AND DOWN THE EASTERN SEABOARD. JIMMY CHANGED THE DESIGN OF THE COMMERCIAL FISHING TRAWLER AND HIS DESIGN IS STILL BEING USED TO THIS DAY. JIMMY PASSED AWAY IN 1969 AND HIS SON NICK, CARRIED ON THE BOAT BUILDING BUSINESS. TODAY, NICK AND HIS SON JAMIE ARE STILL IN THE BOAT BUSINESS. AS OWNERS OF DEONAS BOAT and MOTOR WORKS, Inc. THEY CARRY ON THE SAME QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT HAS MADE THE DEONAS NAME A MAINSTAY IN THE MARINE INDUSTRY.
